From the past year, Google has been in contact with the mobile community for upgrading SMS feature everywhere. The company will be using Rich Communications Services(RCS) for providing a magnifying messaging experience to all people.
Google has proclaimed that the company has chosen Telenor for the launch of RCS messaging to their million of subscribers across Europe and Asia. The company will upgrade RCS message in following countries:
Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Hungary, Montenegro, Serbia, Bulgaria, Pakistan, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Thailand, Malaysia, and India.
The RCS message will be a standard part of Android device and subscribers will be able to access it as they access the older version.
RCS messaging will be having features like:
Group chat
High-resolution photo sharing
Reading receipts and much more.
The company has developed a messenger app, as powered by Jibe RCS cloud, through which subscribers will be able to upgrade their messaging experience.
RCS has been launched in few markets and the subscribers will get its services through an update of messenger app. App is now available on the Playstore. It is expectedd that the alot of new Android gadgets will be here, having built in SMS and RCS features.
The implementation of the RCS messaging will Support GSMA universal profile. GSMA is standard as supported by 58 carriers as well as manufacturers, covering almost 4.7 billion subscriber around the world.
